How much is a full body massage in Wichita?
Between $$60–$130 for the hour, depending on where you go — and the spread is not gradual. Read across the Wichita studios that publish a rate and they land in two clumps: independents around $60 to $90, then the chains and full-service day spas at $120 and up, with almost nothing in between. We sit in the first group.
Body Massage
The full-body session, at the pressure you ask for. Tell us at the start whether you want firm and focused or slow and light — and which areas to spend time on or leave alone. Half an hour is enough for a bad neck; an hour covers the whole back, shoulders, arms and legs.
- 30 minutes $40
- 60 minutes $60
- 90 minutes $90
- 120 minutes $120
Prices in USD, mirroring our Square booking page exactly. Salt stone adds $20, aromatherapy $10, cupping $20.
What the chains up the road charge
Both national chains in Wichita sit on N Maize Rd at NewMarket Square, a few miles north of us. Massage Envy Wichita West publishes $130 for a non-member hour and $195 for ninety minutes. Hand & Stone Wichita-West publishes $129.95 for its 60-minute Classic. Neither takes walk-ins.
The number worth sitting with is Massage Envy's member rate: $70 for the hour, which you reach by signing up for a monthly membership. That is our everyday price, with nothing to join and nothing to cancel. Hand & Stone's first-visit offer is $89.95, and it buys fifty minutes, once.

Three of the studios closest to us publish no rate at all — including two on this same stretch of W Central Ave. Blue Sky Massage, Sarah Massage, RelaxAsian Massage all send you to a phone call or a booking form before you find out what an hour costs. That is their choice to make; ours is to print the whole menu on one page and leave it there.
What happens during the session?
Roughly this, in this order. Nobody should have to guess what they've booked.
-
You say what you want (a minute, maybe two)
How long, how firm, and where it hurts. Also where not to work — a shoulder you've had surgery on, a fresh bruise, ticklish feet. Thirty seconds of this changes the whole hour. -
Back and shoulders first
Most people carry it here, so most of the session starts here. Broad work first to warm the tissue, then slower and more specific into whatever is tight. -
Arms, legs, feet, neck
The rest of the body in whatever order suits how you're lying. In sixty minutes everything gets covered; in ninety, everything gets covered properly. -
Up slowly
Sit for a moment before you stand. Drink some water. Give it a few minutes before you drive back out onto Central.
Deep tissue or Swedish — which one do I book?
Neither, as a separate booking. You book the body massage and name the pressure. Deep tissue means firmer, slower and more focused on a few areas; Swedish means longer, more even strokes at a lighter pressure across everything. Both cost $60 for the hour here, because both are the same therapist doing the same job at a different intensity.
If you don't know which you want, describe the problem instead. "I've been driving eight hours a day and my lower back is locked" gets a different session from "I haven't slept properly in a week", and the therapist will pick. You can change your mind at any point — say "lighter" or "more" during the massage, not in a review afterwards.
How long should I book?
Thirty minutes at $40 handles one problem area — a locked neck, a sore lower back — and not much else. Sixty at $60 covers the whole body without rushing. Ninety at $90 is the one to book if you want a therapist to spend real time somewhere and still reach everywhere else. Two hours at $120 is a different thing again.
The step from 60 to 90 is where the arithmetic is best: $30 more for fifty per cent more table time. Going from 90 to 120 costs $30 more for thirty-three per cent more. Ninety is the sweet spot on this menu, and it's $$160 at Beau Monde West and $195 at Massage Envy for the same length.
If you want feet in the mix, the combo hour is $60 — thirty minutes of foot reflexology, then the rest on the body — and the session-length guide prices all four lengths against each other.
Is a full body massage safe?
For most healthy people, yes. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health says physical approaches including massage therapy are generally safe for healthy people when performed appropriately, and that people with medical conditions and people who are pregnant may need to modify or avoid some of them. The same agency notes that reports of serious side effects are rare, and that where they occur they have tended to involve very vigorous techniques or people already at higher risk of injury.
Tell us before the session if you're pregnant, taking blood thinners or living with a clotting disorder, if you have a fracture, open wound, burn or skin infection anywhere we'd be working, or if you're in active cancer treatment. In some of those cases we'll change what we do; in others we'll ask you to check with your doctor first. And to borrow the NCCIH's own standing advice: don't use massage to postpone seeing a health care provider about a medical problem.
Where to find us, and when
We're at 10646 W Central Ave #106, Wichita, KS 67212 — north side of W Central Ave, just west of N Maize Rd, in the strip by Chili's and the Walmart Neighborhood Market, across Central from the Dillons. Open Sunday to Thursday 9:30 AM to 9 PM and Friday and Saturday until 9:30 PM.
Kellogg (US-54/400) west to the Maize Road exit — that's where the freeway section ends — then north about a mile and a half to Central. Turn west and we're a couple of hundred yards down on the north side, in the strip by Chili's and the Walmart Neighborhood Market, across from the Dillons. Coming down from Maize or the north side: K-96 or 21st Street North to Maize Road, then south past NewMarket Square about two and a half miles to Central. We're on the north side of Central, just west of the intersection.
Walk in, book online, or call (316) 347-6999. For an evening slot, calling first is worth the two minutes — after 5:30 on a weekday is our busiest stretch.
